A Psychology Trainee works under the direct supervision to provide clinical services, conduct assessments, and develop treatment or intervention plans in settings like clinics.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Assessment: Conduct intake interviews, administer psychological tests, and assist with diagnostic assessments.
• Clinical Services: Provide evidence-based, supervised individual or group therapy to clients.
• Documentation: Prepare detailed clinical notes, reports and intervention plans adhering to ethical standards.
• Research & Admin: Assist with research studies, data collection or administrative tasks, depending on the setting.
• Direct Intervention Support: Assist in implementing Early Intervention Programs (EIPs) or treatment programs for children with Autism, ADHD or developmental delays.
• Therapy Assistance: Support lead therapist in group sessions and one-to-one behavioral interventions, often using play-based learning or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Enrolled in or having completed a Diploma, Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral program in psychology, counseling or a related field.
• Clinical Knowledge: Understanding of Psychological assessment techniques, therapeutic interventions and ethical guidelines.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong empathy, active listening and good communication skills.
