About the Role
We are looking for a Business Analyst who thinks from first principles , challenges assumptions, and enjoys solving complex operational problems. This role is not simply about gathering requirements or documenting processes. It is about understanding how supply chain operations truly work, how decisions are made, where operational friction exists, and how better systems can create better outcomes.
You will work at the intersection of:
Supply chain operations
Routing and planning
Operational decision-making
Product thinking
Process improvement
Automation and AI
Data and business intelligence
We are not looking for analysts who simply document what users ask for. We are looking for analysts who can:
Observe how work is done
Understand why decisions are made
Identify root causes
Challenge assumptions constructively
Translate operational knowledge into scalable system capabilities
Whether the challenge involves routing freight, allocating carrier capacity, handling exceptions, improving visibility, coordinating shipments, or designing operational workspaces, the goal remains the same:
Help build systems that enable better decisions and better operational outcomes.
The Kind of Problems You Will Work On
Operational Workspaces & Visibility
Help design systems that allow operations teams to understand and manage the complete operational picture.
Connect shipments, bookings, containers, schedules, documents, customer instructions, exceptions, and operational knowledge into coherent workflows.
Understand how operators coordinate work and identify opportunities to improve visibility and efficiency.
Routing, Planning & Allocation
Analyze how routing decisions are made across customers, carriers, schedules, allocations, and operational constraints.
Help define decision logic for routing recommendations, carrier selection, allocation management, and exception handling.
Translate customer SOPs, routing rules, carrier priorities, allocation commitments, and business constraints into scalable solution designs.
Support initiatives involving routing automation, planning optimization, and decision-support systems.
Process Improvement & Automation
Study operational processes and identify bottlenecks, workarounds, manual effort, and sources of complexity.
Recommend improvements that simplify workflows while maintaining business effectiveness.
Help design automation capabilities that reduce repetitive work and allow operators to focus on higher-value decision-making.
Product & Solution Design
Work closely with product owners, engineers, and operations teams to shape new features and capabilities.
Define business requirements, workflows, business rules, user journeys, acceptance criteria, and solution behavior.
Ensure solutions remain practical, scalable, and aligned with operational realities.
What We Value
We care more about how you think than how many methodologies or tools you know.
We value people who:
Think from first principles.
Seek to understand root causes rather than symptoms.
Ask thoughtful questions and challenge assumptions.
Enjoy understanding complex systems, workflows, and operational behavior.
Balance analytical thinking with practical execution.
Can simplify complexity without losing important business requirements.
Care about business outcomes, not just project completion.
Earn trust through ownership, reliability, and clear communication.
Maintain high standards in analysis, documentation, testing, and delivery.
Stay curious and continuously learn.
Key Responsibilities
Understand the Business
Learn how global supply chain operations function in practice.
Work closely with operations teams, customer service, planners, managers, and customers.
Understand booking processes, routing decisions, allocation management, scheduling, exception handling, and operational coordination.
Identify pain points, inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Analyze & Design Solutions
Translate business challenges into clear solution concepts.
Create process maps, system flows, user journeys, business rules, and functional requirements.
Define how systems should behave in normal and exception scenarios.
Support solution design discussions and evaluate trade-offs between business needs and system complexity.
Support Product Delivery
Manage requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Work closely with engineering teams during analysis, development, testing, and rollout.
Clarify requirements, answer questions, and ensure business intent remains clear.
Support release planning, rollout preparation, and change management activities.
Validate & Improve
Design test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
Validate that delivered solutions solve the intended business problem.
Analyze data, user feedback, and operational results after deployment.
Continuously identify improvement opportunities.
Who We’re Looking For
3+ years of experience in business analysis, product analysis, operations analysis, project delivery, or related roles.
Enjoy solving business and operational problems.
Are naturally curious and ask thoughtful questions.
Like understanding how systems, processes, and people interact.
Can break down ambiguous problems into structured, actionable pieces.
Are comfortable balancing detailed analysis with big-picture thinking.
Communicate clearly with both business users and technical teams.
Take ownership and follow through on commitments.
Are interested in learning supply chain operations and logistics if you do not already have experience.
