Job Description

Responsibilities

We are looking for a responsible and hands-on

Safety Supervisor

to support the day-to-day workplace safety operations. The successful candidate will conduct routine safety inspections, check emergency and safety equipment, identify unsafe conditions, and assist with general safety-related activities across the workplace.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct daily workplace safety inspections and identify unsafe conditions or practices.

Monitor general safety compliance and highlight safety concerns to workers and supervisors.

Report unsafe conditions, defects, incidents or other safety concerns to management for follow-up.

Check emergency and safety equipment to ensure they are available, accessible and in proper condition.

Carry out routine checks on items such as fire extinguishers, first aid supplies, emergency equipment and other safety appliances.

Replenish or arrange replacement of safety and emergency supplies when required.

Maintain simple inspection records, checklists and safety equipment records.

Assist management in following up on safety issues and corrective actions.

Support workplace emergency preparedness and safety activities.

Perform hands-on duties, including carrying, moving and distributing safety equipment, appliances and supplies between departments or work areas.

Assist with setting up safety equipment, signs, barriers and other safety items when required.

Perform other workplace safety-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements

Relevant Safety Supervisor / Workplace Safety & Health qualification or experience will be an advantage.

Basic knowledge of workplace safety and emergency equipment.

Able to identify common workplace hazards and unsafe conditions.

Able to communicate safety concerns clearly to workers and management.

Able to maintain basic inspection records and reports.

Physically able and willing to perform hands-on work, including moving safety equipment and supplies.

Responsible, observant and able to work independently.

Basic computer knowledge is preferred.

Working Arrangement

Full-time position

Mainly workplace/site-based

Combination of safety inspection, equipment checks, reporting and hands-on safety support

Candidate should be comfortable walking around the workplace regularly and carrying out physical tasks as part of the role.
