Job Summary

Coordinate procurement activities for construction materials, manage purchase orders and inventory, and support project documentation to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective sourcing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project and site teams to manage the purchase of construction materials, ensuring alignment with project requirements
• Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive quotations for construction materials
• Generate and issue purchase orders, monitor their progress, and follow up to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Monitor inventory reports to maintain adequate stock levels and support project timelines
• Record and manage project variation orders and handle documentation for ad-hoc projects as assigned
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation related to procurement and project materials

Required competencies and certifications

• Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word to manage procurement data and documentation
• Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and services to support effective sourcing and cost control
• Basic accounting and cost accounting skills to assist in budget management and cost tracking
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with suppliers and project teams
• Negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and pricing from vendors
• Self-motivated with commitment to teamwork and collaboration
• Professional work attitude demonstrating integrity and reliability

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• 1-2 years of relevant experience in construction procurement or related roles
