We are gearing up to launch an exciting new Mediterranean dining concept at Dempsey Hill, and are looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to help bring this concept to life.

Job Description
As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily front-of-house operations, ensuring guests receive a seamless and memorable dining experience true to our new Mediterranean concept. You'll play a key role in service standards, team leadership, and operational efficiency, with the opportunity to help shape the culture of a brand-new outlet from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Restaurant Manager in managing day-to-day front-of-house operations, including opening/closing procedures
• Lead, motivate, and coach service staff to deliver consistent, high-quality guest experiences
• Oversee floor management during service, handling guest flow, reservations, and any service recovery needs
• Assist in training new hires on service standards, menu knowledge, and house procedures
• Support bar operations and service standards where required (training or prior bar experience a plus, but not essential)
• Monitor stock levels, liaise with suppliers, and assist with inventory management for F&B items
• Ensure compliance with food safety, licensing, and workplace safety regulations
• Handle guest feedback professionally, escalating where necessary
• Assist in rostering, manpower planning, and cost control initiatives
• Work closely with the kitchen and management team to maintain smooth cross-functional operations

Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in restaurant or hospitality operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or assistant management capacity
• Some bar service experience preferred, but not compulsory — training will be provided
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Passion for Mediterranean cuisine and hospitality is a plus
• Able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Valid Food Safety Course Level 1 certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• A hands-on, adaptable team player excited to be part of a new opening
