Job Summary

As a Construction Site Engineer at KIM E&C Pte Ltd, you will ensure successful project execution by supervising site activities, coordinating resources, managing risks, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver quality construction works on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager/Site Manager to align site activities with project specifications, budget, and schedules
• Supervise and coordinate daily site works, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
• Monitor and coordinate materials, plant, and equipment with site supervisors to maintain workflow efficiency
• Collaborate with subcontractors, MainCon, consultants, and clients to manage drawing revisions and construction adjustments
• Analyze tender and construction drawings, specifications, and contracts to understand project requirements
• Verify that structural and architectural works conform to approved drawings
• Plan, program, and monitor construction progress to meet project timelines
• Identify and mitigate foreseeable risks while minimizing environmental impact on site
• Conduct short-term planning to support site progress and participate in client, consultant, and subcontractor meetings
• Manage construction and civil works to ensure timely completion
• Perform daily site supervision, coordination, and quality assurance inspections
• Review plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy and raise technical queries to resolve discrepancies
• Lead site crew to enforce adherence to safety and quality standards
• Collaborate with clients to coordinate project schedules and activities
• Implement cost control measures and apply geotechnical knowledge to mitigate project risks
• Ensure timely submission of project documentation and compliance with QA/QC standards
• Liaise effectively between clients, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
• Prepare financial projections and submit accurate Project Finance Reports
• Resolve technical and engineering problems by providing expert advice and suggesting improvements
• Read and interpret construction drawings and ensure all project documentation is complete and submitted

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Professional Degree in Civil Engineering
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in ground improvement
• Valid Supervise Construction Work for WSH certificate (preferable)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD
• Knowledge of 3D drawings and Revit software
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings from all trades
• Project management skills with logical and critical thinking abilities
• Leadership and organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to learn, adaptability, and ability to multitask
• Certificates or licenses related to construction are an added advantage
