The German Swiss International School (GSIS) is one of Hong Kong's leading international schools providing quality, holistic education to a multinational student body of approximately 1300 students and 250 faculty and staff. The school is organised into two Streams, German and English leading to qualifications in the German International Abitur and I/GCSE & IBDP respectively. EARLY YEARS TEACHER (POK FU LAM CAMPUS)

(ENGLISH INTERNATIONAL STREAM – KINDERGARTEN)

The Kindergarten at GSIS integrates both the German International Stream and the English International Stream, where students work and learn together under one roof. The Kindergarten English International Stream follows a curriculum to suit our international student body.

The successful candidate shall be an excellent classroom practitioner who is dedicated to enabling each child to achieve the highest possible standards. At GSIS, our students demonstrate a high level of motivation and engagement in their learning, making them a joy to work with.

What is required and what we're looking for

• A relevant Early Years qualification with at least five years of classroom experience teaching Kindergarten pupils.
• The ability to deliver inspiring lessons that engage children of Kindergarten age range grounded in a nurturing, caring, child-centred approach.
• Experience in delivering, developing and adapting an instructional programme based on the EYFS framework would be an advantage.
• Openness to new ideas and practices with the ability to develop the curriculum to suit children's developmental needs.
• Work closely and effectively with the children and their parents/carers.
• Possess excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
• Demonstrate proficiency with learning technologies and experience of using software to track pupil progress.
• Cultural openness and ability to work collaboratively within a highly motivated team.
• Flexible, proactive, patient with the confidence and ability to use initiative appropriately.
• Ability to communicate effectively within a team and willingness to take the lead in areas of specialism.
• A reflective practitioner who is willing to learn from others and take ownership of their professional learning and development.
• The successful candidate must have excellent command of spoken and written English.
