PUNB is looking for a strategic and forward-thinking leader to head our Risk Management & Compliance function.


Working closely with Senior Management and Board Committees, you will drive enterprise risk management, strengthen governance and compliance practices, provide independent risk oversight, and support informed decision-making across the organisation. You will also play a key role in enhancing organisational resilience while fostering a culture of accountability and sound judgement.


Your Key Responsibilities


a) Enterprise Risk Management & Governance

Drive the organisation's risk framework, governance practices and risk appetite to support sound decision-making.


b) Credit Risk Oversight

Strengthen credit governance, portfolio quality and independent risk challenge processes.


c) Compliance & Regulatory Stewardship

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while promoting ethical and responsible business practices.


d) Risk Intelligence & Board Reporting

Provide timely risk insights and recommendations to Management and Board Committees.

 

e) Operational Resilience & Emerging Risks

Enhance organisational readiness through oversight of operational, technology and business continuity risks.

 

f) Risk Culture & Capability Development

Build a strong culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous learning across the organisation.


What We're Looking For


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Finance, Banking, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Law, Compliance, or a related discipline.


  • Minimum of 12-15 years of progressive experience in risk management, compliance, financial governance, or related control functions, including exposure to financing/lending, treasury, and property investment portfolios.


  • At least 5-7 years in a senior management role, with presenting risk matters to Board Risk Committees and executive leadership.


  • Proven expertise in operational risk management, RCSA, compliance monitoring and testing, fraud prevention, branch/network controls, and business continuity or operational resilience frameworks.


  • Professional certifications such as FRM, CRM, CPRM, CRMA, AICB, ICA, or equivalent are an added advantage.
