Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Site Technician role based in Shah Alam. The Site Technician will perform calibration, testing, and inspection of instruments and equipment at client sites and within the laboratory, following ISO/IEC 17025 procedures and company guidelines. Responsibilities include preparing equipment and documentation for site visits, installing and commissioning instrumentation, recording measurement data accurately, and assisting in troubleshooting technical issues. The role involves maintaining tools and test equipment, adhering to safety standards, and collaborating with other technicians and engineers to ensure efficient service delivery. The Site Technician will also support report preparation, communicate with clients in a professional manner, and participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Technical knowledge in instrumentation, calibration, or electrical/mechanical systems, with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements, data recording, and documentation in line with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
- Ability to work safely on-site, follow standard operating procedures, and handle tools and equipment responsibly.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the capacity to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Basic computer literacy for report writing, data entry, and use of calibration or laboratory software.
- Relevant technical certification or diploma in engineering, instrumentation, or a related field; prior experience in calibration or laboratory work is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel to client sites, manage time effectively, and adapt to varying work environments.
