The role oversees all project activities, including design coordination, procurement, construction, M&E installation, testing, commissioning, and handover. The Project Manager will lead multidisciplinary project teams, manage subcontractors and stakeholders, mitigate project risks, and drive operational efficiency to ensure the successful delivery of complex, mission-critical data centre facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management & Leadership: Manage and lead multidisciplinary project teams, including engineering, construction, QAQC, EHS, procurement, commercial, and commissioning teams, to achieve project milestones and deliverables.
  • Design & Engineering Coordination: Oversee design development, technical submissions, design coordination, and engineering reviews to ensure alignment with client requirements, project specifications, construction methodology, and operational needs.
  • Construction Management: Direct and monitor all site construction activities, including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and M&E installation works, ensuring effective coordination, productivity, and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Project Schedule & Milestone Management: Develop, review, and monitor project master schedules, construction programmes, critical paths, and key milestones to ensure timely project completion and effective resource allocation.
  • Budget & Cost Control: Manage project budgets, cash flow, cost forecasts, variations, and expenditure, ensuring financial performance is maintained in accordance with approved project targets and contractual obligations.
  • Procurement & Contract Management: Coordinate with procurement and commercial teams on material procurement, subcontractor appointments, contract administration, variation orders, claims, and supplier performance to support project delivery.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, authorities, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, timely decision-making, and resolution of project issues.
  • Quality Assurance & Control: Ensure project activities comply with approved quality management plans, technical specifications, inspection and test plans, and client quality requirements, working closely with the QAQC team to minimize defects and rework.
  • EHS Management: Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with statutory requirements, company EHS policies, project safety standards, and environmental management requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify, assess, and manage project risks, technical challenges, construction constraints, and potential delays, implementing mitigation plans and corrective actions to minimize project disruptions.
  • M&E Systems Coordination: Oversee the installation, integration, and coordination of critical data centre infrastructure, including electrical distribution, cooling systems, fire protection, ELV, BMS, and other mission-critical systems.
  • Testing & Commissioning: Lead and coordinate pre-commissioning, testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing (IST), and performance verification to ensure all systems meet design intent, operational requirements, and client acceptance criteria.
  • Subcontractor & Resource Management: Monitor subcontractor performance, manpower planning, equipment utilization, site productivity, and construction resources to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Project Reporting & Performance Monitoring: Prepare and present regular project progress reports, cost reports, risk registers, schedule updates, and performance dashboards to senior management and clients.
  • Contractual & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure project execution complies with contractual obligations, statutory requirements, approved permits, relevant construction standards, and applicable regulatory approvals.
  • Change & Variation Management: Manage project changes, design modifications, scope variations, and extension-of-time matters in coordination with engineering, commercial, and contractual teams.
  • Project Handover & Close-Out: Oversee final inspections, testing and commissioning records, as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, defect rectification, and project documentation to ensure successful client handover and project close-out.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve project delivery, construction methodologies, resource utilization, cost efficiency, and operational performance through lessons learned and best practices.
  • Participate in project meetings and quality briefings as required.
  • Comply with Quality, Health & Safety Policies

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10–15 years of relevant working experience in project management within the construction industry, preferably in data centre, M&E design and build, or large-scale industrial projects.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end construction projects, from design coordination and procurement through construction, testing, commissioning, and handover.
  • Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure, critical M&E systems, construction methodologies, and mission-critical facility requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, contractual obligations, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Good understanding of project management principles, construction regulations, quality management systems, and EHS requirements.
