Job Summary
The Production Manager (PM) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, maintenance, quality control, and supply chain operations within the factory. The PM ensures efficient, cost-effective, and safe production while meeting business objectives, regulatory compliance, and customer requirements. This role involves strategic planning, process optimization, team leadership, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations and processes.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with different departments to streamline production.
- Manage production staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Implement cost-effective production strategies.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment.
- Develop and enforce production policies and procedures.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the production.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Implement and monitor continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and health regulations.
- Prepare and manage the production budget.
- Provide leadership and direction to improve overall production performance.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
- Experience: 5+ years in operations, with 5+ years in a leadership role (manufacturing/food industry preferred).
- Strong knowledge of production processes, and automation.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems.
- Excellent team management and conflict resolution abilities.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
