Role Description The Economics Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Kajang. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging Economics and Business Economics lessons for secondary-level students, aligning with the school’s curriculum and educational standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and teaching materials, conducting classroom instruction, assessing student performance through assignments, tests, and projects, and providing constructive feedback to support academic growth. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to refine syllabuses, participate in school events and meetings, and maintain clear communication with students and families. The role also involves fostering critical thinking, practical economic understanding, and employment-ready skills in a supportive, student-centered environment.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Economics and Business Economics, with the ability to relate concepts to real-world applications.
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Teaching, with experience in developing age-appropriate, engaging classroom activities.
- Background in Education, including knowledge of pedagogical best practices and classroom management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Education, or a related field; teaching certification or relevant training is an advantage.
- Experience teaching at primary or secondary level is beneficial, especially in alternative or private school settings.
- Ability to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment and adapt teaching methods to diverse learning needs.
