About the role

Gama Supermarket & Departmental Store is looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Account Executive to join our Finance Department.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger entries.

• Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile suppliers' accounts.

• Prepare monthly management report, schedules and financial reports.

• Monitor Company's Cashflow and supplier payments and follow up when required.

• Verify invoices, payment documents and other supporting documents.

• Assist with budgeting, cash-flow monitoring and financial analysis.

• Handle SST, e-Invoice and other relevant statutory submissions.

• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, company secretary and government authorities.

• Assist in year-end audit and tax matters by preparing the required schedules and supporting documents.

• Support stock reconciliation, inventory-related accounting and other retail finance matters.

About you

• Diploma, Degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

• At least 2 years of relevant accounting/audit experience.

• Familiar with Malaysian accounting practices, SST and e-Invoice requirements.

• Knowledge in Microsoft Excel and AutoCount Software.

• Experience in the retail industry will be an added advantage.

• Able to work independently, meet deadlines and manage multiple assignments.

• Careful, responsible and capable of maintaining confidentiality.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
