1.0 Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the annual Industrial Hygiene Programme.
• Establish annual Industrial Hygiene objectives, KPIs, and action plans.
• Develop policies, procedures, and work instructions related to industrial hygiene.
• Conduct annual Industrial Hygiene risk reviews. Provide technical advice to management regarding occupational health hazards.
• Participate in management review meetings regarding occupational health performance.
• Maintain and regularly update the Chemical Register. Conduct regular compliance inspections and audits. Evaluate training effectiveness and maintain training records
• Verify that all hazardous chemicals have current Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Ensure chemicals are classified, labelled, and stored according to the CLASS Regulations.
• Coordinate Chemical Health Risk Assessments (CHRA) with a DOSH-registered assessor.
• Review CHRA reports and ensure recommendations are implemented.
• Monitor chemical usage and evaluate new chemicals before introduction into production.
• Evaluate monitoring results and recommend improvements to reduce employee exposure.
• Coordinate LEV inspection and monitor airflow performance and maintenance records.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Participate in DOSH inspections, customer audits, and ISO certification audits as the subject matter expert for industrial hygiene.
• Recommend updates to occupational health procedures, programmes, and standards to ensure ongoing legal compliance.
• Other additional work tasks or additional roles assigned by the superior.

2.0 Job Requirements

• Diploma in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Health and Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Industrial Hygiene within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing occupational exposure monitoring programmed.
• Experience supporting DOSH compliance. Experience in ISO 45001 implementation.
• Experience coordinating occupational health programmed.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications may also be considered.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
