The Java Developer - EQD Prime Inventory Management will work within the banking division to develop and optimise core inventory management systems. The role involves building out event logging components, deploying microservices, and contributing to the BAU development work for inventory management systems. The position reports to the technical team and requires active collaboration in a team environment.

Key Skills & Experience

• Experience in Java development with 5 years’ experience
• Knowledge of streaming-based microservice architecture (Kafka Streams/Flink) – 5 years
• Spring Boot experience – 5 years
• Proficiency in Federated Angular/ReactJs/AG Grid – 3 years
• Familiarity with Avro/JSON/Protobuf – 1 year
• Experience with Autosys/Jenkins/Maven – 1 year
• Knowledge of Oracle/kdb+/q (optional)
• Knowledge of Apache Ignite (optional)

Nice to Have

• Banking industry experience

Role Overview
The developer will primarily focus on software development, deployment, and testing tasks related to inventory management systems. They will contribute to the build-out of event logging functionality and optimise existing calculators. The role requires working onsite in Hong Kong, adhering to the project's SDLC, and collaborating with the wider team to meet deliverables. Success will be measured by the seamless integration and performance of the developed systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Build out standardised event logging and explain functionality across core systems
• Develop central event view layer and tooling for capturing system events
• Optimize and simplify inventory management calculators in deployment
• Conduct software development and deployment tasks
• Write unit tests and conduct UAT for developed components
• Contribute to ongoing BAU development work for inventory management systems

Requirements

• Right to work in Hong Kong
• Availability to start in January 2024
• Onsite working requirement in Hong Kong
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in software engineering, with banking experience a plus
