About the role
We are seeking a Technical Specialist, Network (Pre-sales) to join our dynamic team at our Kowloon Bay office in Kwun Tong District. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial strategic role in our pre-sales operations. As a Technical Specialist, you will be the technical bridge between our sales team and clients, providing expert guidance and technical solutions that help secure new business opportunities. Your expertise in network technologies will be instrumental in demonstrating our capabilities and building strong client relationships from the earliest stages of the sales process.
Job Description
1. Presales & Solution Design
Work with Account Managers to engage customers and understand business and technical requirements .
Design and propose solutions for:
Enterprise Network (LAN/WAN)
Wi-Fi solutions
Firewall and network security solutions
Recommend suitable products, architectures, and configurations based on customer needs.
2. Proposal & Documentation
Prepare technical proposals, solution diagrams, and presentations .
Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) and solution scope.
Provide technical write-ups for tender submissions and project proposals.
3. Sales Support & Customer Engagement
Support Account Managers in customer meetings, presentations, and solution pitching .
Deliver technical presentations
Address customer technical queries and provide solution clarification.
Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related disciplines .
Experience
3 years or above experience in network engineering, presales, or solution design.
Experience in network infrastructure and security solutions .
Presales experience is preferred, but strong technical engineers with customer-facing experience are also welcome.
Technical Skills
Networking
Strong knowledge of:
LAN / WAN architecture
TCP/IP, routing, and switching
VLAN, VPN, QoS
WiFi
Experience in enterprise wireless solutions (e.g. Aruba, Cisco, Ruckus)
WiFi design and site survey understanding is a plus
Security / Firewall
Hands-on or design experience with firewalls such as:
Fortinet
Palo Alto
Cisco
Understanding of:
Network security architecture
IPS/IDS
VPN and secure access
Solution & Presales Skills
Ability to design end-to-end solutions based on customer requirements .
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Soft Skills
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Customer-oriented mindset with good stakeholder management.
Team player with strong collaboration skills.
Certifications (Preferred)
CCNA / CCNP
Fortinet NSE
Palo Alto certifications
Aruba or other networking certifications
