About the role:

As Maintenance Manager at Holiday Inn Johor Bahru City Centre, reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the hotel’s overall maintenance and engineering operations. You will play a key role in ensuring our hotel facilities, equipment and building systems operate safely, efficiently and reliably. You will lead the maintenance team, oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, manage contractors and statutory requirements, and support energy and cost-efficiency initiatives.

Working closely with hotel leadership and operational teams, you will ensure maintenance issues are addressed promptly while maintaining IHG brand and safety standards. We are looking for a hands-on, proactive leader with strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills who takes pride in creating a safe and comfortable environment for both our guests and colleagues.

What we're looking for:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar maintenance management role, preferably within the hospitality industry
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in cost control and budgeting
• Good knowledge of building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, and hotel equipment
• Proficient in preventive maintenance and maintenance planning
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to maintenance issues promptly
• Commitment to maintaining safety standards and ensuring a well-maintained hotel environment

Pay: RM8,500.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
