Work schedule: 5 day workweek, 44 hours per week

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare components for plated desserts according to recipes and established standards.
  • Execute and plate desserts accurately and consistently during service.
  • Complete mise en place efficiently and ensure the section is fully prepared before service.
  • Maintain consistency in portioning, presentation, texture and flavour.
  • Work closely with the pastry team to ensure smooth preparation and service.
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate ingredient or production requirements when needed.
  • Receive, store and handle ingredients appropriately.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organisation and hygiene of the work station and kitchen.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation and kitchen SOPs at all times.
  • Assist with general pastry production and other kitchen duties when required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in pastry, desserts or a professional kitchen environment.
  • Experience with plated desserts or restaurant pastry is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Able to work efficiently under pressure during service.
  • Good understanding of basic pastry techniques, food handling and kitchen hygiene.
  • Reliable, organised and willing to work collaboratively as part of a small team.
  • Willing to work evenings, weekends and public holidays according to roster.

Pay: $3,000.00 - $3,200.00 per month

Work Location: In person
