Responsibilities

Layout & Production

• Produce clean, pixel-perfect page layouts and artwork in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator for brochures, flyers and corporate documents.
• Adapt existing designs into multiple sizes and formats while maintaining brand rules and visual hierarchy.
• Prepare text and image flows, ensure correct typography, and apply styles for consistent output across projects.
• Export press and digital-ready PDFs with correct bleed, trim and slug settings for each job.

Prepress & Print Management

• Perform preflight checks and correct common issues such as linked images, font embedding and color profiles before sending to print.
• Manage color settings and basic color correction for CMYK output to match client expectations.
• Coordinate with digital printing equipment and vendors to confirm file specifications and printability.
• Track proofs, approve final art and update job records to reduce print errors and reprints.

Collaboration & File Management

• Maintain organized file structures and version control so team members can find assets quickly.
• Work with designers, account staff and printers to clarify brief details and delivery timelines.
• Train colleagues on simple export and packaging steps to improve handoffs and reduce revisions.
• Document common production checks and checklist steps for repeatable quality control.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Approximately 2 years of hands on experience in desktop publishing or print production roles in an agency or service environment.
• Diploma or certificate in graphic design, visual communication or related field is preferred but not required with strong portfolio evidence.
• Proven track record delivering printed materials to deadline for local clients or internal teams.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Proficient in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator, with portfolio examples showing multi page layouts and collateral design.
• Working knowledge of digital printing processes, press file requirements and prepress workflows.
• Familiarity with color management, image resolution, trimming and bleed settings for commercial print.
• Competence with file packaging, PDF export settings and basic image editing for production use.

Soft Skills & Qualities

• Detail oriented and methodical when checking files and following prepress checklists.
• Good communication skills for liaising with vendors and internal stakeholders under time pressure.
• Willingness to learn and receive feedback, with a practical attitude toward solving production issues.
• Organised and reliable, able to manage multiple small projects and meet turnaround expectations.
