Role Description The Marketing Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Penang, Malaysia, responsible for driving brand visibility, guest engagement, and revenue growth for Gurney Bay Hotel. This role includes developing and executing marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels, managing the hotel’s brand positioning, and overseeing content creation for promotions, social media, and advertising materials. The Marketing Manager will analyze market trends and performance data, coordinate with sales, revenue management, and operations teams, and manage relationships with external agencies and partners. Daily responsibilities also involve budget management, monitoring campaign effectiveness, organizing promotional events, and ensuring all marketing initiatives align with PARKROYAL brand standards.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated skills in marketing strategy development, campaign planning, and brand management.
  • Experience with digital marketing, social media management, and content creation for online platforms.
  • Ability to analyze market data, track performance metrics, and prepare reports to inform decision-making.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, or related service industries is highly advantageous.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency in English; additional language skills relevant to the region are an asset.
  • Comfort working on-site in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
