Workato Consultant

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Workato Consultant to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise integration solutions for UST clients. The candidate will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, define integration architecture, lead technical discussions, and deliver scalable, secure, and production-ready solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 15+ years of overall experience in software development and technology consulting within enterprise environments.
• 6+ years of enterprise integration development experience using Workato, webMethods, Boomi, MuleSoft, or similar integration platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with Workato and enterprise integration solution design and development.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, XML, OAuth, webhooks, event-driven architecture, and integration patterns.
• Experience integrating SaaS applications, databases, APIs, messaging platforms, and enterprise systems.
• Good understanding of Git/source control, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across complex, multi-system integrations.
• Understanding of integration security, authentication mechanisms, enterprise architecture, and governance.
• Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand business objectives, requirements, project scope, priorities, and integration needs.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead requirements-gathering sessions, technical workshops, solution walkthroughs, and design discussions.
• Estimate effort, timelines, implementation approach, dependencies, and technical risks.
• Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and deploy enterprise integration solutions using Workato and other integration platforms.
• Integrate SaaS applications, APIs, databases, messaging platforms, and enterprise systems.
• Evaluate technical alternatives and recommend appropriate integration approaches and patterns.
• Prepare solution design, configuration, deployment, operational, and technical documentation.
• Support UAT, production deployments, defect resolution, troubleshooting, and post-production activities.
• Work closely with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Project Managers, QA teams, and customer technical teams.
• Ensure solutions adhere to enterprise architecture, security, integration governance, development, and operational standards.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Identify and manage technical risks, issues, and dependencies, providing regular progress updates.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to reusable assets, best practices, and continuous improvement.
