Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for conducting tests that provide crucial information for detecting, diagnosing, treating, and monitoring disease.

• Ensure accurate, precise and timely reporting of test results to clinicians. 

• Perform quality control, institute preventive maintenance of equipment, monitor inventory, and ensuring policies and procedures are followed so that testing output is maintained at the highest possible standards.

• Participate in quality improvement, promote and support continuing education and research at all levels within the laboratory.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science, Microbiology, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.

• Required to register as an Allied Health Practitioner in accordance with the requirements of the Allied Health Professions Act.

• Minimum 1 – 2 years of relevant working experience.

• Good understanding of laboratory procedures, established protocols, and quality standards.

• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work accurately in a laboratory environment.
