ELECTRICAL (ELV) ENGINEER | MALAYSIA

Are you an ELV Engineer with strong design and consultancy experience looking for your next opportunity?

We are currently supporting a leading international engineering & construction group on a major data centre project in Malaysia, and we are looking for an experienced ELV Engineer to join the engineering & design team.

Position: ELV & ICT Engineer

The Role

You will be responsible for the design, coordination and integration of ELV & ICT systems, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, consultants, vendors and system integrators.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and review ELV & ICT system designs, schematics and layouts
• Prepare design calculations, specifications and equipment schedules
• Work on structured cabling, ICT, CCTV, access control, security, PA/intercom and related ELV systems
• Coordinate ELV/ICT interfaces with MEP, architectural and structural disciplines
• Develop system architecture diagrams, containment layouts and equipment room/rack layouts
• Review technical submittals, shop drawings and RFIs
• Coordinate with vendors, system integrators and specialist contractors
• Support testing, commissioning and integrated systems testing
• Prepare technical reports, tender documentation and other design deliverables

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunications Engineering or related discipline
• Relevant ELV/ICT design experience, preferably within an engineering consultancy environment
• Strong knowledge of ELV/ICT systems and design principles
• Experience with structured cabling, CCTV, access control/security, PA/intercom, fibre/copper networks and ICT infrastructure
• Familiarity with TIA/EIA, BICSI, IEEE, ISO/IEC and relevant data centre standards
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or BIM/Revit
• Strong multidisciplinary coordination and technical documentation skills
• Data centre / mission-critical project experience will be an advantage
