The organisation is undertaking a brownfield development project in Port Klang and is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the end-to-end planning, coordination and delivery of the project. This is a senior-level opportunity suited to an experienced project professional with a strong background in industrial engineering, construction and infrastructure projects.

- Employment Type: 1-Year Contract (Potential Extension for another 1 Year)

- Salary Package: Up to RM25,000 per month
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of a brownfield development project at Port Klang, ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly, on time and within approved budgets.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project scopes, execution plans, budgets, resource requirements and delivery roadmaps.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, construction, plant operations, procurement, contractors and relevant regulatory authorities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work with engineering subject matter experts to ensure project design and execution align with applicable engineering and design standards.
- Manage project cost estimation, budget control and financial performance, identifying potential cost risks and implementing appropriate mitigation measures.
- Oversee contractor performance, project deliverables, work progress and compliance with agreed requirements.
- Lead project risk, change and issue management, ensuring potential impacts to cost, schedule, quality and safety are identified and addressed proactively.
- Ensure project activities comply with HSSE requirements, applicable local regulations, engineering standards and project governance requirements.
- Facilitate effective communication and stakeholder engagement across internal teams, contractors, engineering specialists and external parties.
- Prepare project governance updates, progress reports, risk assessments and other management-level reporting as required.
- Support procurement and commercial activities related to project execution, including coordination with relevant procurement and contracting stakeholders.
- Drive effective problem solving and continuous improvement throughout project execution.
- Ensure project delivery remains aligned with business priorities, operational requirements and agreed project objectives.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience, with substantial experience in project management and project delivery.
- Degree in Engineering, Project Management or a related technical discipline is preferred.
- Professional project management certification or equivalent demonstrable project management experience would be advantageous.
- Strong experience managing brownfield engineering, construction and infrastructure projects.
- Experience within manufacturing, oil and gas, lubricants, chemicals or similar industrial environments is highly relevant.
- Strong knowledge of project planning, execution and delivery methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating engineering design and construction activities across multidisciplinary teams.
- Good understanding of relevant engineering standards, international codes and local regulatory requirements.
- Strong capabilities in cost estimation, budget management and commercial project control.
- Experience in procurement and contractor management within complex industrial projects.
- Strong understanding of HSSE principles and the ability to embed safety considerations throughout project execution.
- Proven experience in risk management, change management and project governance.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineering teams, contractors, operations teams, regulators and senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple project priorities while maintaining focus on safety, quality, cost and schedule.
- Experience working within structured project governance and engineering standards environments.
