Working closely with the finance team, the incumbent will handle routine bookkeeping, reconciliations, and reporting support, providing a solid operational foundation for the wider finance function. This role suits a detail-oriented individual looking to build a strong grounding in accounting practice within a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Process and maintain the full set of accounts, including data entry for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions.

Perform bank reconciliations, and reconcile debtor and creditor balances on a regular basis.

Process supplier invoices and staff claims, and prepare payment runs for approval.

Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries and basic schedules.

Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting records and supporting source documents, in an organised and audit-ready manner.

Support the preparation of basic financial and management reports as directed by senior finance staff.

Assist with data compilation for statutory filings, audits, and other compliance requirements as needed.

Perform administrative and clerical duties related to the finance function.

Assist with other ad-hoc accounting or finance tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Diploma in Accounting, Finance, LCCI, or a related field.

1 to 2 years of relevant accounting experience; candidates with hands-on exposure to the full set of accounts are preferred.

Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting processes.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero) and Microsoft Excel.

Meticulous, organised, and comfortable working with numbers and deadlines.

A team player with good communication skills and a willingness to learn.

Prior exposure to corporate secretarial work will be an advantage.

Entry-level candidates with a strong academic foundation in accounting and a keen learning attitude are welcome to apply.

What We Offer

Hands-on exposure to the full spectrum of accounting operations within a growing organisation.

Guidance and mentorship from experienced finance professionals.

A supportive environment for building a long-term career in accounting and finance.

Interested applicants are invited to submit their CV along with details of current and expected remuneration. We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
