We are looking for a hands-on Data Engineer to join the technology team of a leading financial institution.

This is a SQL-heavy engineering role for someone who enjoys coding, working with large datasets and building reliable data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimise complex SQL queries, stored procedures and data transformations
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines
• Work with large-scale datasets, data warehouses and relational databases
• Perform data integration, validation and quality checks
• Troubleshoot production/data issues and optimise performance
• Work closely with technology and business teams to deliver data solutions

What we're looking for:

• 5–10 years of experience in Data Engineering / ETL / Database Development
• Strong hands-on SQL coding skills — this is essential
• Experience with Python / PySpark is an advantage
• Strong understanding of data modelling and data warehousing
• Experience with ETL tools, Git and CI/CD
• Banking / Financial Services experience is mandatory
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
