Job Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to accurately diagnose faults and identify issues.
• Inspect and troubleshoot vehicle computer and electronic systems to support repairs, maintain and upgrades.
• Conduct routine vehicle maintenance, including replacing fluids, lubricating parts and other preventive maintenance tasks to ensure vehicle functionality and longevity.
• Schedule upcoming maintenance sessions and advise motorists on proper vehicle usage.
• Repair or replace damaged, worn or malfunctioning parts, and rectify issues such as leaks and other mechanical faults.
• Provide accurate estimates of repair and maintenance costs, time required, and work involved.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work, identified issues, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure all equipment, tools, and workshop facilities are properly maintained and kept in good working condition.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Auto Mechanic.
• Excellent knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
• Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
• Ability to operate various hand tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. vehicle lifts).
• Willingness to observe all safety precautions to prevent accidents and protect against hazardous fluids, chemicals, and other workplace hazards.
• Good physical condition and ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
• High school diploma preferred; certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship is an advantage.
