Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Scrum Master to join our high-tech engineering environment. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving Agile practices across cross-functional teams that include physicists, mathematicians, computer scientists, and simulation experts developing cutting-edge semiconductor solutions . You will foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement within a truly international organisation .

Key Responsibilities

Agile Facilitation & Team Support

• Facilitate all key Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure effective team collaboration and progress
• Support the team in maintaining focus, building trust, and improving communication and collaboration
• Challenge is a non-typical IT team, which is diverse and consists of physicists, mathematicians, computer scientists, and simulation experts

Coaching & Mentorship

• Coach and mentor team members on Agile mindset, continuous improvement, and self-organization
• Coach development teams on best practices in Agile methodologies, helping them embrace Scrum principles and frameworks for optimal performance
• Encourage accountability within the team while nurturing an atmosphere of continuous improvement through regular feedback loops and process enhancements

Impediment Removal & Progress Tracking

• Identify potential obstacles early on and proactively remove roadblocks to maintain smooth project delivery and foster a positive team environment
• Promote a culture of transparency by measuring and communicating key team performance metrics such as velocity, burndown charts, and sprint health indicators

Stakeholder & Cross-Team Coordination

• Work closely with Product Owners to maintain a well-defined and prioritised product backlog that aligns with business goals and stakeholder expectations
• Ensure alignment between technical teams and business stakeholders by facilitating clear communication channels throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinate efforts with Quality Assurance, DevOps, and engineering teams to guarantee high-quality releases that meet or exceed organisational standards
• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner (PO) to ensure clarity in the product backlog and help the team prepare for successful Program Increments (PI)

Required Qualifications

Mandatory Certification (Non-Negotiable)

• Agile certification (CSM, PSM I/II) is required
• Candidates must hold a valid certification from a recognised body such as Scrum Alliance (CSM) or ************* (PSM)
• PSM I or CSM required; PSM II or A-CSM preferred

Experience & Education

• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager within software development environments
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline
• Comprehensive understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or XP along with familiarity with software development life cycle processes

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent facilitation skills enabling you to run productive meetings while encouraging participation from all team members
• Outstanding communication abilities allowing you to bridge gaps between technical staff and business stakeholders with empathy and clarity
• Proven capability in conflict resolution ensuring harmonious collaboration even when challenges arise
• Experience using Agile tools like Jira or Azure DevOps for efficient tracking of tasks and progress reporting for distributed teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English .

Pay: RM5,870.16 - RM14,228.95 per month
