About the role
Junior Technical Project Manager (TPM) leads the end-to-end delivery of complex software applications, API integrations, and system architectures. This role bridges business strategy with engineering execution to build scalable, secure, and high-performing digital platforms.
Key responsibilities
Define project scope, resource allocation, schedules, and budgets for complex application deliverables.
Oversee the complete project lifecycle for application development including frontend and backend, enterprise integration, and API management initiatives.
Collaborate with architects and software development teams to manage dependencies across microservices, API gateways, security and cloud infrastructure.
Facilitate Agile/Scrum processes, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, risk mitigation, and technical impediment removal.
Translate business requirements into clear technical roadmaps, user stories, and architectural specifications.
Monitor project health, scope, budgets, and schedules while ensuring adherence to strict quality, security, and governance standards.
Communicate project status, technical tradeoffs, and milestone achievements to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
Lead cross-functional engineering teams (developers, QA engineers, UX designers, product managers) through the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
About you
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Technical project management experience managing software development and systems integration projects preferred.
Proven experience managing API lifecycle projects (e.g., API gateways, RESTful services, developer portals, and security/rate-limiting protocols).
Expertise in Agile/Scrum frameworks and technical workflows using Jira, and CI/CD tracking tools is a plus.
PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent project management credentials is a plus.
Strong analytical problem-solving skills, project management experience, and stakeholder negotiation abilities.
Prior experience delivering public sector/government projects with strict compliance, security, and accessibility standards is a plus.
Prior hands-on software engineering background in Java or opensource application development.
Direct experience delivering enterprise web applications and mobile apps (iOS/Android).
Some knowledge of microservices architecture implementations (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, event-driven designs).
