We are partnering with a US-based global leader in architectural ceiling and wall solutions to expand their team in Malaysia. They are currently seeking a driven Specification Executive based in Petaling Jaya.

This role focuses on developing and maintaining strong relationships with architects, interior designers, consultants, and developers across the region to secure product specifications in new commercial and institutional projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and nurture relationships with the architectural, design, and developer community.
• Promote high-end architectural ceiling, wall, and acoustic solutions during the early design stage.
• Identify upcoming commercial projects and drive product specifications.
• Conduct technical briefings, product presentations, and sample sharing for specifiers.
• Collaborate closely with internal sales teams to convert specifications into successful project wins.
• Track project lifecycles from initial design through to tender and completion.
• Monitor competitor activities and market trends within the Malaysian construction sector.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in specification, architectural sales, project sales, or technical sales within the Malaysian building materials industry.
• Mandarin speaker is a must (to liaise with key regional stakeholders and clients).
• Established network or proven track record engaging with local architects, designers, and consultants.
• Strong understanding of the local construction project lifecycle and specification process.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and commercial negotiation skills.
• Open to backgrounds in ceiling systems, flooring, partitions, acoustic products, architectural finishes, façades, lighting, or furniture sectors.
