Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Candidate Sourcing
- Source blue-collar candidates through various channels, including job portals, social media, recruitment databases, referrals, walk-in recruitment, career fairs, and community networks.
- Recruit candidates for positions such as Production Operator, Technician, Warehouse Operator, Material Handler, Machine Operator, General Worker, Quality Inspector, Maintenance Technician, and other manufacturing-related positions.
- Conduct high-volume recruitment according to client manpower requirements and hiring targets.
- Build and maintain an active candidate pool/database for immediate and future hiring needs.
- Develop new sourcing channels to improve candidate flow and recruitment effectiveness.
2. Candidate Screening & Interview
- Review candidate applications and resumes against job requirements.
- Conduct telephone and face-to-face interviews to assess candidates' suitability.
- Verify candidates' qualifications, work experience, availability, expected salary, shift requirements, transportation, and other relevant requirements.
- Assess candidates' willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and in a manufacturing environment where applicable.
- Shortlist and submit suitable candidates to clients for further assessment/interview.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment status.
3. Client & Manpower Coordination
- Understand client manpower requirements, job descriptions, salary packages, shift arrangements, and hiring timelines.
- Coordinate with clients regarding interview schedules, candidate feedback, selection, and offer status.
- Follow up closely on submitted candidates to ensure timely hiring decisions.
- Monitor recruitment progress against client requirements and agreed timelines.
- Escalate recruitment challenges and manpower shortages to the Recruitment Manager.
4. Offer & Onboarding
- Coordinate employment offers and communicate offer details to selected candidates.
- Follow up with candidates on offer acceptance, documentation, medical check-up, background checks, and other pre-employment requirements.
- Ensure candidates complete all required onboarding documentation accurately and on time.
- Coordinate reporting dates, VSO/briefing sessions, induction, and deployment to client sites.
- Maintain close contact with candidates until their successful commencement of employment.
5. Candidate Management & Retention
- Maintain regular communication with placed workers before and after deployment.
- Follow up on attendance, reporting issues, resignation, absenteeism, and other worker-related matters where required.
- Support the operations team in resolving basic worker concerns.
- Maintain good relationships with workers to improve retention and reduce early attrition.
- Conduct follow-up with new joiners during the initial employment period.
6. Recruitment Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate recruitment records, candidate databases, interview schedules, offer status, and onboarding status.
- Prepare daily/weekly recruitment reports and manpower updates.
- Track recruitment KPIs, including:
- Number of candidates sourced
- Candidates screened
- Candidates submitted
- Interview attendance
- Offer acceptance
- Joining/placement rate
- Recruitment turnaround time
- Candidate retention
- Ensure all recruitment documentation complies with company and client requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of candidate and client information.
Requirements
- Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of recruitment experience, preferably in a recruitment agency, manpower supply, staffing, manufacturing, or blue-collar recruitment environment.
- Fresh graduates with strong communication skills and a willingness to work in recruitment may also be considered.
- Experience recruiting production operators, technicians, warehouse workers, general workers, or other blue-collar workers will be an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Able to conduct interviews and communicate effectively with candidates from different backgrounds.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail.
- Willing to work under pressure and meet recruitment targets.
- Willing to work outside normal hours when required for urgent/high-volume recruitment activities.
Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,200.00 per month
