Prepare cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and tender documentation.
Review project drawings, specifications and contract requirements to perform quantity take-offs.Identify and clarify discrepancies between BOQs, drawings, specifications and contract conditions.
Obtain and negotiate quotations with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve competitive pricing and terms.
Prepare techno-commercial proposals and support tender submissions.
Monitor project budgets, costs, forecasts and margins throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare interim and final valuations, variations and claims.
Participate in pre-tender activities, including reviewing tender documents and raising relevant queries.Conduct feasibility studies and value engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Provide input on procurement, cost control and project risk management.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
Knowledge of construction practices, regulations, standards and contract administration.
Strong understanding of cost estimation, budgeting and cost management.
Familiarity with construction contracts and commercial terms.
Understanding of general contracting, design & build, package contracting, commercial fit-out, hotel and retail projects.
Experience using AutoCAD to review drawings and validate quantities.
