About the Role

Sensible Solutions Engineering Sdn Bhd is looking for an experienced and hands-on Senior QA/QC Engineer to strengthen our project delivery team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining project quality requirements across our industrial construction, office fit-out, cleanroom, data hall, MEP and CSA projects.

This role requires someone who is not only strong in QA/QC documentation, but is also capable of identifying quality issues on site, coordinating inspections, working with project teams and subcontractors, and driving issues through to proper closure.

Key Responsibilities1. Project Quality Management
  • Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP) in accordance with project specifications, client requirements and applicable standards.
  • Establish project QA/QC procedures, Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), checklists and quality control processes.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and relevant codes and standards.
  • Maintain effective quality control throughout the project lifecycle from mobilization to testing, commissioning and final handover.
2. Site Inspection & Quality Control
  • Conduct regular site inspections for CSA, architectural, MEP and related construction works.
  • Verify workmanship, installation quality and materials against approved specifications and drawings.
  • Coordinate and raise Request for Inspection (RFI/WIR) with consultants and clients.
  • Identify defects, non-conformance and potential quality risks before they affect project completion.
  • Ensure corrective works are properly implemented and verified before closure.
  • Conduct pre-handover inspections and support final quality walkdowns.
3. Material & Installation Compliance
  • Review material submissions, technical data, samples and certificates for compliance with project requirements.
  • Conduct incoming material inspections and ensure materials delivered to site meet approved specifications.
  • Monitor proper storage, handling, installation and protection of materials and completed works.
  • Ensure only approved materials and installation methods are used on site.
4. NCR & Corrective Action Management
  • Raise and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) where required.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers and subcontractors to identify root causes and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Monitor NCR, defect and punch-list status until satisfactory closure.
  • Identify recurring quality issues and recommend improvements to prevent repetition.
5. Subcontractor Quality Management
  • Monitor subcontractor workmanship and compliance with project quality requirements.
  • Conduct quality briefings with site teams and subcontractors before critical activities.
  • Ensure subcontractors understand approved drawings, method statements, ITP requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Drive subcontractors to rectify defective or non-compliant work promptly.
  • Evaluate recurring workmanship issues and escalate significant quality concerns to Project Management.
6. Testing, Commissioning & Handover
  • Coordinate QA/QC requirements for Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities.
  • Verify test reports, certificates, calibration records and commissioning documentation.
  • Coordinate inspections and testing with project teams, consultants, clients and specialist contractors.
  • Support preparation and closure of punch lists / defect lists.
  • Ensure quality documentation is complete prior to project handover.
  • Support compilation of As-Built Drawings, O&M Manuals, warranties, test reports and project close-out documentation.
7. QA/QC Documentation
  • Maintain proper QA/QC records including:
  • Project Quality Plan (PQP)
  • Inspection & Test Plans (ITP)
  • Inspection Requests / WIR
  • Material Inspection Records
  • NCR & Corrective Action Reports
  • Testing & Commissioning Records
  • Calibration Certificates
  • Quality Checklists
  • Defect / Punch Lists
  • Handover and Close-Out Records
  • Ensure QA/QC documentation is properly controlled, traceable and readily available for client or consultant review.
8. Client & Consultant Coordination
  • Represent Sensible Solutions in QA/QC inspections, meetings and quality-related discussions with clients and consultants.
  • Coordinate inspection schedules and resolve quality-related comments professionally and promptly.
  • Provide clear technical justification and supporting documentation where required.
  • Maintain positive working relationships while protecting the company's contractual and technical position.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant QA/QC experience in construction, MEP, industrial facilities, fit-out or related projects.
  • Experience in industrial / manufacturing facilities, cleanrooms, data centres, semiconductor or high-tech projects will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of construction QA/QC procedures, ITP, inspection processes, NCR management and project close-out.
  • Good understanding of MEP and/or CSA construction activities.
  • Familiar with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and technical documentation.
  • Experience coordinating directly with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Able to prepare professional reports and QA/QC documentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and common project/document management systems.
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of project quality matters.
  • Willing to work at project sites when required.
What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who:

  • Takes ownership – does not wait for quality problems to be highlighted by the client.
  • Is hands-on – comfortable inspecting actual site installations, not only managing paperwork.
  • Has strong attention to detail – able to identify workmanship and compliance issues early.
  • Is technically confident – able to discuss quality matters professionally with consultants, clients and subcontractors.
  • Is solution-oriented – identifies problems and drives practical corrective actions.
  • Can lead quality culture – guides Site Engineers and subcontractors toward better workmanship and quality awareness.
  • Understands project priorities – balances quality requirements with construction progress and project milestones.
  • Drives closure – follows through on NCRs, punch lists and outstanding documentation until completion.
Why Join Sensible Solutions?

At Sensible Solutions, QA/QC is not just about inspection and documentation — it is an important part of how we deliver projects and build long-term client confidence.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Work on challenging industrial and high-tech construction projects.
  • Gain exposure across CSA, ID, MEP, cleanroom and data hall environments.
  • Work directly with project management, clients, consultants and specialist contractors.
  • Take ownership of quality management from construction through T&C and handover.
  • Develop towards a QA/QC Lead / Quality Manager position as the company and project portfolio continue to grow.
