Regional Procurement Manager A leading global chemical company is seeking a Regional Procurement Manager to drive procurement excellence across Asia. This confidential search offers you the opportunity to shape sourcing strategies for both direct and indirect spend in speciality chemical, advanced materials, and related sectors.

• Take ownership of regional procurement strategy covering direct and indirect spend across China, Taiwan, and Singapore, ensuring supplier relationships are managed with care and consideration for local market nuances.
  
  

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies for both direct materials such as polymers, resins, engineering plastics, specialty chemicals, additives, fillers, performance materials, and related production inputs.
• Lead complex negotiations with suppliers in China, Taiwan, and Singapore to secure favourable terms while maintaining dependable relationships built on trust and mutual understanding.
• Manage supplier performance by establishing clear expectations and nurturing long-term partnerships that support business objectives across multiple manufacturing sites.
• Drive savings delivery through strategic sourcing initiatives that balance cost efficiency with supply risk mitigation and quality assurance.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing operations, engineering services, plant facilities management, and industrial contracts to ensure seamless integration of procurement activities.
• Build procurement discipline by coaching site teams on best practices in sourcing strategy, negotiation techniques, supplier management processes, and compliance requirements.
• Monitor market trends in polymers, advanced materials, specialty chemicals, packaging materials, automotive materials, electronics materials, and adjacent sectors to inform sourcing decisions.
• Ensure continuity of supply by proactively identifying risks within the supply chain and developing contingency plans that safeguard production schedules.
• Report on annual spend influenced or controlled with measurable examples of savings achieved through collaborative efforts with stakeholders.
• Champion inclusive procurement practices that promote transparency and foster communal relationships among internal teams and external partners.
  
  

What You Bring

• 10 years of proven procurement experience within international industrial or manufacturing environments focused on plastics, advanced materials or specialty chemicals.
• Suppliers across China, Taiwan, Singapore and other regional markets.
• You have credible ownership of both direct (materials for finished products) and indirect (goods/services for site operations) spend categories including sourcing strategy development.
• You possess demonstrated experience negotiating complex supplier agreements with evidence of measurable savings delivery.
• You have led cross-functional partnerships within manufacturing settings showing your ability to collaborate responsively with engineering services, plant facilities management or similar functions.
• You can provide clear examples of annual spend influenced or controlled along with one quantifiable savings achievement from your previous roles.
