Laboratory Operations & Experiment Support
Experiment Preparation:
Set up, prepare, and organize apparatus and materials for experiments, practical lessons, and science practical assessments.
Lab Housekeeping:
Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and upkeep of the science laboratories and science rooms (located across levels 2 to 4, requiring the ability to climb staircases).
Equipment & Facility Maintenance:
Manage the operation and maintenance of lab spaces, and coordinate with vendors or contractors for equipment servicing and repairs.
Administrative & Procurement Support
Inventory & Data Entry:
Perform data entry, maintain inventory records, and track storage systems.
Procurement & Scheduling:
Assist with purchasing science equipment, instruments, and materials, and monitor laboratory booking schedules for teachers.
Research & Ad-Hoc Duties:
Support school research projects and undertake any other tasks assigned by supervisors.
Working Hours & Schedule
Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM (includes a 1-hour lunch break).
Friday: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (includes a 1-hour lunch break).
Service not required: Weekends and gazetted public holidays.
Qualifications & Key Skills
Experience & Expertise:
Relevant working experience and expertise, with a preference for administrative experience including proficiency in MS Office and MS Outlook (or equivalent email software).
Education & Language:
Completed secondary education with the ability to communicate in English.
Interpersonal Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
