Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Incoming inspection
: Verify raw materials, purchased parts, and subcontracted items against specifications, certificates, and PO requirements.
First‑piece inspection
: Perform dimensional and visual checks on initial production pieces; stamp and sign drawings to authorize continuation.
In‑process checks
: Monitor machining operations, tolerances, and surface finishes; record deviations and escalate issues promptly.
Final inspection
: Conduct thorough checks on completed parts, including dimensional verification, marking, and documentation review.
Documentation control
: Maintain inspection records, NCRs, calibration certificates, and ensure traceability of waivers/deviations.
Non‑conformance handling
: Identify, document, and report defects; support disposition decisions (use‑as‑is, rework, scrap).
