Sunway Medical Centre Hiring! Full Time Optometrist in Selangor - Ricebowl

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and diagnostic assessments to identify vision problems, ocular abnormalities and eye diseases.
• Provide clinical advice, prescribe appropriate visual aids, and document patients' medical and ocular history, findings, diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Provide counselling and pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye procedures, including cataract and laser vision correction.
• Support ophthalmologists during LASIK/Laser Vision Correction surgeries and refer patients to appropriate specialists when required.
• Work closely with ophthalmologists, nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality and effective patient care.
• Support the daily operations of the Eye Centre, including maintaining a safe and efficient clinical environment and responding to emergency situations in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Assist in training, supervising and guiding junior team members.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and maintain high standards of patient care.
• Keep clinical knowledge and professional skills up to date through relevant training and development.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Optometry.
• At least 3–5 years of clinical eye care experience.
• Valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) & registered with the Malaysian Optical Council (MOC).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
