Requirements & Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or any related field.
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, cloud engineering, or cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or management role related to the scope of work offered.
• Strong expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure engineering, DevOps, and platform reliability.
• Demonstrable experience in cloud modernization, automation, and large-scale platform operations.
• Proven experience in managing high-availability systems, incident management, and operational resilience.
• Preferable with knowledge on ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, ISO 31000, ISO/IEC 27005, or ISMS.
• Certified Information Security Officer (CISO), Cloud Architect, or equivalent certifications would be an added advantage.
• Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and platform governance.
• Proficiency in data analysis, system metrics, cost optimization, and performance monitoring.
• Having experience in organizational, leadership, and people management abilities.
• Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
• Strong decision-making, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, protect, and continuously improve the organization and department's intellectual property and assets, including platform architecture, cloud frameworks, automation standards, security baselines, operational playbooks, and procedural documentation.
• Develop, define, and implement the Platform Engineering strategy in alignment with the SSB’s business objectives, technology roadmap, and information security objectives.
• Define, govern, and enforce cloud architecture standards, automation frameworks, security controls, and platform engineering best practices across the organization.
• Ensure full compliance with SSB-GDL-006 Framework and Regulatory Requirements and all applicable regulatory, contractual, and industry standards.
• Provide mentorship or 1:1 coaching to Employees within the department to support their competency development, technical mastery, leadership growth, and succession planning.
• Identify and address skill gaps within the department and proactively recommend training, upskilling, certification pathways, and structural improvements in line with continuous improvement objectives.
• Establish and monitor overall KPIs for platform availability, reliability, security posture, deployment velocity, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.
• Plan and monitor departmental activities to ensure alignment with organizational objectives while optimizing cross-functional workflows.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for infrastructure, DevOps, platform reliability, and security incidents, ensuring effective coordination, communication, and resolution.
• Lead and coordinate incident response related to departmental assets and processes, ensuring timely containment, resolution, and communication.
• Perform and monitor business impact analysis and risk assessments related to platform assets and services to develop risk management strategies and implement mitigation measures.
• Oversee cloud infrastructure governance to ensure high availability, performance, scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency.
• Lead cloud modernization initiatives, including platform resilience improvements, architecture optimization, disaster recovery, and business continuity readiness.
• Drive Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) adoption and automation initiatives to improve deployment consistency, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Oversee CI/CD framework governance to ensure fast, stable, secure, and auditable software releases across all engineering units.
• Ensure strong monitoring, observability, logging, and alerting frameworks are implemented and continuously improved to support proactive operations.
• Drive cloud cost governance, usage optimization, and financial accountability for cloud resources, tools, licenses, and infrastructure spending.
• Oversee vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, secure configuration baselines, and remediation tracking.
• Monitor threat intelligence, system anomalies, platform risks, and emerging security threats, ensuring timely reporting and mitigation.
• Ensure platform operations achieve high uptime, service stability, and operational reliability in accordance with defined SLAs and business requirements.
• Lead production deployments, operational health checks, maintenance planning, and escalation management.
• Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit findings, compliance gaps, and security incidents.
• Ensure complete, accurate, and audit-ready documentation for all technical, operational, and security functions under the department.
• Prepare and present periodic reports, including KPI dashboards, system health reports, audit readiness updates, risk summaries, and improvement plans to Top Management.
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets related to tools, licenses, cloud resources, infrastructure, and operational expenses, ensuring alignment with approved budgets.
• Support and implement the organization’s overall business and management vision, mission, strategy, plans, and decisions, both internally and externally.
• Facilitate collaboration and integration between departments to ensure platform capabilities effectively support business growth, product delivery, and operational excellence.
• Monitor changes in standards, regulatory environments, and technology trends that may impact platform risk management and deliver regular updates to Top Management.
