We are looking for a fast, creative Short-Form Video Editor on a contract basis to turn raw video footage into highly engaging vertical content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. You know how to hook an audience in the first three seconds, maintain fast-paced visual storytelling, and structure content designed to maximize retention and shares.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit short-form vertical videos (9:16) optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
• Add dynamic captions, text overlays, sound effects, jump cuts, and on-screen graphics to keep viewer retention high.
• Identify key hooks and strong entry points from raw footage.
• Keep up with current audio trends, short-form editing styles, and platform algorithms.
• Deliver polished drafts quickly and incorporate feedback efficiently.

Requirements

• Strong portfolio or showreel showcasing short-form video work (TikTok/Reels/Shorts).
• High proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.
• Deep understanding of short-form pacing, hook structure, and visual hierarchy.
• Reliable internet connection and ability to hit quick turnaround deadlines.
• Must be based in Malaysia.

Contract & Compensation

• Type: Independent Contract / Per-Video or Retainer
• Pay Rate: RM 50 – RM 120 per completed short-form video (or RM 3,000 – RM 4,500/month for a monthly package of 30–40 videos)
