Role Description The Senior Project Engineer (E&I) is a full-time, on-site role based in Shah Alam. This role is responsible for leading electrical and instrumentation project engineering activities, including detailed design, documentation, and technical reviews. The Senior Project Engineer will oversee project planning, coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety and quality standards. Daily tasks include preparing specifications and drawings, reviewing contractor and vendor submissions, monitoring installation and commissioning work, and resolving technical issues at site. The role also involves supporting procurement decisions, conducting site inspections, providing technical guidance to junior engineers, and maintaining clear communication with clients to align project deliverables with requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong project engineering capabilities, including experience in Project Engineering and Electrical Engineering within industrial or energy-related environments.
- Proficiency in Project Management and Project Planning, with a track record of delivering E&I projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Effective Communication skills, including the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, interact with clients, and produce clear technical documentation.
- Relevant academic background, such as a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related discipline.
- Experience in E&I design, installation, testing, and commissioning, preferably in energy-efficient, metering, or process control systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices for electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Ability to work independently, make sound engineering decisions, and provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to be present at site for inspections, troubleshooting, and stakeholder coordination.
