Job Summary

Lead the implementation and user adoption of proprietary global logistics systems while managing and coordinating supply chains for major Japanese corporations.

Responsibilities

• Implement the “SWIFT” Integrated Distribution Information System and “SWAN” Global Logistics Management System in Singapore, ensuring seamless integration with shipping company systems.
• Lead training sessions and provide ongoing support to users post-implementation to maximize system adoption and operational efficiency.
• Manage and coordinate global supply chain activities for major Japanese corporations, ensuring smooth logistics operations and compliance.
• Collaborate with Japanese associates at the head office and global customers to align system functionalities and supply chain processes.
• Apply extensive knowledge of Japan Customs, shipping, and import/export regulations to ensure compliance and optimize logistics workflows.
• Initiate and drive work independently using a structured and resourceful approach without requiring detailed instructions.

Required competencies and certifications

• Proven management experience of at least 2 years in a major logistics company with demonstrated success in system implementation and supply chain management.
• Full proficiency in oral and written English and Japanese to effectively liaise with Japanese associates and global customers.
• Specialist knowledge of the “SWIFT” Integrated Distribution Information System and “SWAN” Global Logistics Management System.
• Extensive knowledge of Japan Customs, shipping, and import/export regulations.
• A self starter who is resourceful and initiates work without specific instruction in a structured and independent approach.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
