ENVIRONMENTAL OFFICER (CONSTRUCTION BASED IN JOHOR)

Accountabilities

• Able to prepare/update/submit of environmental report or related documentations with specific time frame to client, HQ and related authority (if required)
• Able to participate with HSE monthly meeting & HSE walk on monthly basis or as HSE program or client requirement.
• Able to liaise and coordinate with staff & all subcontractors in order to implement EMP/ EMCP requirements at site.
• Able to liaise and coordinate with related authorities in relation to environmental issues.
• Able to coordinate & implement environmental programmed at site as HSE plan & requirements.
• Able to advise, managing & control project team/sub-contractor performing works according to environmental legal & requirements.
• Able to carry out any other reasonable environmental duties assigned from time to time.

Job specification:

Qualification

• Diploma or Degree in Environmental or equivalent
• Registered with DOE as CESSWI or CEPSWAM (depend on site/client requirements)
• Minimum 2 years working experience in related field.

Knowledge

• Experience in environmental legal requirements (eqa 1974)
• Knowledge on environmental impact assessment, eia
• Knowledge on construction & scheduled waste management
• Knowledge on erosion & sedimentation control
• Knowledge on air, water, noise & vibration monitoring

Skills

• Good knowledge in environmental management system (ISO 14001)
• Good communication & written skills and problem-solving skills.
• Good leadership, teamwork, ability to works under pressure & hard work.
• Familiar with computer software i.e word, excel etc.
