Power Assistant Engineer Responsibilities:
- Supervise the maintenance of Power Supply and Distribution Systems equipment for the North-East Line stations and depot
- Review submitted design drawings and technical documents
- Participate in procuring all necessary tools and spares pertaining to the operation of the system
- Participate in all testing and commisioning of Power distribution systems equipment
- Participate in development, planning and implementation of a cost effective and comprehensive maintanance program
- Oversee the PM and CM programs carried out by the outsource maintenance contractors and in-house staffs
- Monitor system performance through RAM
- Investigate, report and document software/hardware discrepancy for FRACAS
- Co-ordinate field test and system wide implementation of modification works initiated internally or by LTA
- Enforce the practice of the quality system in all relevant area of work
- Review and approve contractors' PM tasks and work schedule
- Ensure contractors' levels of manpower, spares, tool and equipment are sufficiently maintained
- Identify and provide on-the-job training for new in-house staff
- Ensure proper practice of fault reporting and documentation by in-house staff and outsource maintenance contractors
- Review Work Instruction processes for continuous improvement and updating
- Participate in the staff selection, discipline and performance review process as required by the Section Head
- Assist with the preparation of asset management plans, budgets and the like as required by the Section Head
Signalling Assistant Engineer Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the team in maintenance activities in accordance with the maintenance procedures and safety plans
- Plan, organize and ensure scheduled maintenance activities are performed in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule
- Ensure good coordination, fast response on failures and rectify within reasonable time
- Ensure timely compilation and submission of fault and maintenance reports for review
- Participate in investigations and fault analysis of persistence faults and remedial actions
- Perform general documentation, proper fillings and assist in updating of documents and drawings
- Participate in administration of maintenance logistics required to ensure proper functioning of all maintenance activities
- Required to drive company vehicles where necessary during work duties
- Ensure good housekeeping practices and security of signalling maintenance office, workshops and equipment room in station and depot
- Perform safety inspection and auditing of the signalling and platform screen door system
- Expected to possess basic inventory management skills in handling of tools, spare inventory accountability in an orderly and safely approach
Systems Assistant Engineer Responsibilities:
- Participate in the maintenance of both ISCS and Communication Systems to ensure that the safety, reliability and availability of the systems meet the standards agreed with Operations.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance to the work instructions and procedures.
- Ensure fast response to clear system faults and carry out the repair and rectification.
- Ensure safety plans are implemented and all safety hazards are eliminated.
- Perform any engineering work or tasks as being assigned by Senior Engineer or Engineer.
- Ensure Preventive Maintenance is carried out according to schedule and faults rectify immediately after inspection.
- Provide maintenance support.
- Ensure the fault report is updated in the data management system and close the Works Order.
Rolling Stock Assistant Engineer Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled Preventive and Corrective Maintenance on Electric Trains/Engineering Vehicles/Equipment/Depot Equipment/Components assigned by supervisor.
- Execute and comply all PM & CM jobs and related tasks with the approved quality procedures and Work Instructions, Safety and Operational procedures.
- Take personal responsibility for the upkeep and maintenance of the validity of qualifications and competencies required to carry out the maintenance tasks safely and efficiently.
- Respond readily to system or equipment failure and to rectify and restore failed system or equipment to a normal and safe operating state in shortest possible time.
- Maintain, repair, trouble-shoot, inspect, diagnoses the assigned rolling stock system and equipment.
- Shunt and drives Electric Trains / Engineering Vehicles / Rail Road Shunter when the need arises.
- Undertakes modification works and fleet-wide checks.
- Assists Senior / Assistant Engineer in planning and organizing maintenance activities.
- Ensure strict compliance and adherence to the safety rules and regulations, reports any hazard to the management.
- Maintains maintenance records and documentation in accordance with ISO quality standards and procedures.
- Act as member of a re-railment team / first aider / etc. when required.
