Intern (42 Penang)

Key Duties

Community Outreach and Public Engagement

Activities

• Support community outreach programmes, events and engagements, both on and off campus.
• Engage with prospective students, partners and visitors during outreach activities.
• Support initiatives that promote 42 Penang and grow awareness of our programmes.

Student & Community Engagement

• Support activities that build an active and engaging student community on campus.
• Assist with student programmes, events and other community-building initiatives.
• Respond to student and candidate enquiries when needed.

Candidate and Student Support

• Support day-to-day campus readiness and operations.
• Assist with basic IT, facilities and campus setup as needed.
• Support preparations for key programmes and activities such as Open Days, Piscines and the Core Programme.

Others: Provide general support across Community, IT and campus operations based on team needs.

Requirements

• Students in Education, Communications, Public Relations, Community Development or related fields are preferred. Candidates from Computer Science or other backgrounds with an interest in education and community engagement are also welcome to apply.

• Experience in community engagement and/or event management through extra-curricular or voluntary activities.

• Able to speak and write fluently in English and Bahasa Malaysia. A third language is preferred but not required.

• Energetic, proactive and passionate about education and youth.

• Internship period of 6 months preferred. Also open to internship period of 3 months and above.

• To be based in Penang.
