Requirements
- Minimum SPM or equivalent.
- Fresh graduates are welcome; candidates with around 1 year of relevant forwarding/logistics experience are preferred.
- Familiar with international trade regulations, customs procedures and export documentation.
- Computer literate and comfortable handling shipment records and documentation.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and organisational skills.
- Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are an advantage.
- Detail-oriented with a positive working attitude
Responsibilities
- Coordinate import and export shipments, including customs clearance and shipment documentation.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents such as Bills of Lading, commercial invoices and import declarations.
- Follow up on customs declarations including K1, K2, K3, K8, K9, ZB1, ZB2, ZB3 and ZB4, and monitor clearance until completion.
- Arrange haulage and transportation based on customers’ shipment requirements.
- Liaise with shipping lines, carriers, freight forwarders and other logistics partners on routing, schedules and shipment movements.
- Track shipments closely and provide customers with timely updates throughout the delivery process.
- Handle shipment-related issues such as delays, damaged cargo and customs clearance complications.
- Monitor freight and logistics costs and support negotiations with service providers where required.
- Prepare operational reports and identify areas for improvement within the import/export process.
