About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team at TSH Business Service Centre Sdn Bhd in Bandar Utama, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering accurate financial accounting and reporting services to our diverse client base. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This position is essential to our operations and directly contributes to the success of our clients' financial management objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, ledger accounts, and reconciliations

• Compile and analyse financial data to produce timely and accurate financial statements and reports

• Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including accruals and prepayments

• Support the preparation of financial reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements

• Monitor and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

• Assist with the preparation of tax documentation and ensure compliance with tax regulations

• Conduct account analysis and identify discrepancies or areas requiring investigation

• Maintain organised financial documentation and filing systems

• Communicate with clients and internal team members regarding financial matters and clarifications

• Support audit activities by providing necessary documentation and explanations

What we're looking for

• Strong proficiency in accounting software and systems; experience with cloud-based accounting platforms is advantageous

• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement

• Knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations and compliance requirements is highly desirable

• Previous experience in an accounting firm or business service centre environment is preferred

• Ability to work independently whilst being a collaborative team member
