Responsibilities
Job Summary
The Executive, Quality & Risk Management supports the organisation-wide Quality & Risk Management function in strengthening quality assurance, risk management, regulatory compliance, incident management, corrective-action tracking, quality indicators and policy/SOP governance.
The role works across clinical and non-clinical departments and supports the Manager, Quality & Risk Management in maintaining appropriate organisational governance, monitoring systems and follow-up mechanisms.
The position is not limited to clinical quality and is expected to support quality, risk and compliance activities across the whole organisation.
*Key responsibilities*
- Run the home's internal audit programme against HCSA licence conditions on KPIs on clinical indicators for nursing home
- Prepare for MOH inspections and independent audits, then track corrective action plans to closure
- Track and report quality indicators (falls, pressure injuries, infections, medication incidents, restraint rates, unplanned hospital transfers) and report to management
- Manage incident reporting, lead root cause analyses, and support reportable-incident notifications to MOH
- Support the Clinical Governance Officer (CGO)appointed under HCSA and Quality Manager to review policies and SOPs as MOH circulars and guidelines are updated
- Lead quality improvement projects, including AIC-supported initiatives
- Handle feedback and complaints from residents and families.
Qualifications*
- Preferably Registered Nurse with SNB
- Post-basic training in gerontology, infection control, wound care or quality/patient safety is an advantage
*Experience*
- At least 3 years of clinical nursing, ideally in a nursing home, community hospital or geriatric setting
- Experience with MOH licensing inspections and requirements on HCSA compliance will be advantageous
*Skills*
- Sound geriatric clinical knowledge and working knowledge of HCSA and Quality Assurance requirements in nursing homes
- Data analysis, report writing and presenting to management
- Good in Excel and Microsoft applications
- Able to work within tight deadlines and under pressure
