Job Summary
Join various civil and structural consulting firms as a Junior to Senior Engineer, contributing to design, project coordination, and client liaison with 1 to 10 years of experience.
Responsibilities
Execute civil and structural design by preparing calculations and reviewing structural drawings to meet customer specifications, applicable codes, and standards
Produce tender specifications and design requirements to support tender contract processes
Undertake detailed design of buildings and civil infrastructure to ensure compliance and constructability
Collaborate with Qualified Person (QP) to develop and refine civil and structural design schemes
Participate in project and technical meetings with authorities, developers, and contractors to align project objectives
Contribute to project planning, implementation, and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery
Coordinate project submissions to local authorities and manage liaison during construction stages
Communicate technical matters effectively with clients, consultants, and authorities to resolve issues
Train and support junior engineers to build team capability and knowledge transfer
Required competencies and certifications
Degree in Civil Engineering, preferably recognized by the PE Board
Minimum 1 year of experience in civil and structural engineering design work
Proficient in latest design codes and authority requirements, including codes of practice and directives
Competent in design software such as ETABS, STAAD, PROKON, and SAFE
Demonstrated ability to work independently and support the Qualified Person
