Job Description

• Perform welding and fabrication work according to drawings, specifications and work instructions.
• Carry out MIG, TIG, ARC or other appropriate welding processes as required.
• Cut, fit, align and weld metal components and structures.
• Read and interpret basic technical drawings and welding specifications.
• Inspect completed welds and ensure work meets required quality and safety standards.
• Operate welding machines, cutting equipment and other workshop tools safely.
• Perform grinding, finishing and basic metal fabrication work.
• Conduct routine maintenance and housekeeping of welding equipment and work areas.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform other welding and fabrication duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Relevant welding/fabrication experience or technical qualification preferred.
• Able to perform welding and basic metal fabrication work.
• Able to read and understand basic technical drawings is an advantage.
• Able to use welding machines, hand tools and workshop equipment safely.
• Physically fit and able to work in a workshop/industrial environment.
• Willing to work overtime when required.
• Good attitude, responsible and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Relevant welding certificates or qualifications will be an advantage.
