Job Description

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Logistics Operations In-Charge to oversee and manage our day-to-day transport and delivery operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating drivers, vehicles, delivery schedules and customer requirements while ensuring that all jobs are completed safely, efficiently and on time.

This is a hands-on operations role suitable for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment and solving operational problems independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily transport and delivery operations.
  • Plan and assign drivers and vehicles according to daily job requirements.
  • Prepare driver rosters and manpower schedules.
  • Monitor drivers and deliveries throughout the day.
  • Ensure deliveries and collections are completed according to schedule.
  • Coordinate directly with customers regarding delivery requirements and operational matters.
  • Respond quickly to delays, vehicle breakdowns, driver absences and other operational issues.
  • Arrange replacement drivers or vehicles when required.
  • Monitor driver attendance, punctuality, discipline and performance.
  • Ensure drivers follow company SOPs and customer requirements.
  • Monitor Proof of Delivery (POD), photographs and other delivery documentation.
  • Manage vehicle servicing, inspections, repairs and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Monitor vehicle utilization and minimize unnecessary downtime.
  • Assist with route planning and improve delivery efficiency.
  • Control unnecessary overtime and operational costs.
  • Handle customer complaints and investigate service failures.
  • Conduct briefings and training for new and existing drivers.
  • Maintain proper operational records and prepare management reports.
  • Work closely with management to improve productivity, service standards and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety, traffic and company regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, fleet or delivery operations preferred.
  • Experience managing drivers and commercial vehicles is highly advantageous.
  • Strong planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to handle pressure and resolve operational problems quickly.
  • Good communication and leadership skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively with drivers, customers and management.
  • Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Excel and WhatsApp.
  • Familiarity with GPS tracking, route planning or delivery management systems is an advantage.
  • Must be willing to work hands-on and respond to urgent operational matters when required.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the operation, not simply follow instructions.

The ideal candidate should be proactive, responsible and capable of making decisions independently. He/she should be able to manage drivers firmly but fairly, maintain good relationships with customers and ensure that management does not need to constantly intervene in daily operational matters.

The main objective of this position is simple:

Right driver. Right vehicle. Right location. Right time. Every day.

Pay: $3,000.00 - $5,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
